It only took a few attempts but when they completed this one they knew they had created the perfect sandal. Founder Jay Sparky Longley and Flip Flop Shops Founder Brian Curin worked together on an idea, to create a sandal that gave a feeling, brought back a memory also knowing that so many more memories will be created while wearing the Founders Edition.

The Founders Edition is slightly thicker than our regular 301 as it has five layers of 1.5mm pin line creating the sleek style while still breaking down 10% to mold to your individual foot providing the perfect fit and maximum comfort. Each layer is triple glued, and has our traditional non-slip rubber bottom.
The top sole and straps are made with premier nubuck leather, stitching is bonded nylon thread to prevent fraying. They have the famous Rainbow Sandals box X toe piece, and our original Rainbow woven label. The ladies version has the new "medium" strap while the men's version has the traditional wide 1 inch strap. The top sole of the left sandal has the Rainbow embossed logo, while the right top sole has founder signature Jay Longley embossed proudly.
